The colors used in Zen style decor are primarily white and full range of neutral colors: browns, grays and beiges. The color can only be given by a decorative object, like a touch of green or red spot or simple decorative items.

The materials used in Zen are those natural or less industrialized: natural wood, stone, etc… In bathrooms and kitchens it is preferred using of stone before the ceramic.

The light should always be subtle, indirect, hidden artifacts in order to make a soft and sensual atmosphere. Because of its great importance in interior design, lighting is an important factor in the designing of Zen style.

The choice of decorative objects should be neat. Although a glass vase is most appropriate on wood furniture. The walls may be bare, but if you prefer to put picture or photo, make sure that the type of frame combined with the overall decor.
