Painting Rooms with High Ceilings

A high ceiling will lend spaciousness to your room but the room can feel borderline cavernous if the wrong colors are used on the ceiling and if the scale of your furniture is too small for the room. High ceilings designs provide dramatic visual effect in your home. The first important thing is to avoid using white color. If you use white on high ceilings the ceiling is going to appear that much higher. Think about painting your ceiling a deep, rich, warm color, which will visually lower it. Another idea is to paint the ceiling the same color as your walls. This will create a more comfortable, cozy and inviting room that looks cohesive.
