Flat-screen televisions can be difficult to decorate around, since they are usually quite large and the focal point of the room. There are some things you can do, however, that will make the TV wall more interesting and decorative. Paint the wall behind your TV. Choose an accent color, which means a color that is not on any other wall in the room. This will highlight your TV and make it stand out. Adding sleek black or silver floating shelves on both sides of your television or below it will extend the look of your television. Frame the television by using pre-cut molding purchased from any home center. Paint the inside of the frame, then mount the television so that it sits in the center of the frame.
